Let’s not forget the Balearic Islands; Ibiza, Mallorca, and the Canary Islands; Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and La Gomera. Spanish food fuels the heart if it is up to me; paella, sangria, patatas bravas and much more.

France

Ever since I was a little kid we would spend the summer somewhere in France. I fell in love with the history, culture, food, and the nature. I would recommend the Ardèche for the summers and the French Alps for winter. Every year the Tour the France is held, which is a major cycling race throughout France.

Germany

Germany has so much history and so many castles! I love how different each city is and how kind and welcoming Germans are. One of the best perks is almost everyone speaks basic English if not fluent. Germany has some fun festivities such as October Fest. Due to the rich history in Germany, you can still see differences between west and east Germany. Berlin has a lot of historic sceneries, which I would recommend to visit and learn about the Second World War.

Sweden

Not only did Sweden gifted us with ABBA they have beautiful nature. Sweden has a very rich history, with vikings and more. I’ve been to Stockholm and would love to see even more of this beautiful country. It is super safe to travel here for solo (female) travelers but it is quite expensive.
